Cleanroom wipers are low-particulate, non-shedding wipes used to clean ESD-sensitive surfaces, optical components and medical-device assemblies inside ISO Class 5 to Class 8 cleanrooms without introducing fibres, ions or hydrocarbon residues. Phil Industries supplies 34+ cleanroom wiper SKUs in Singapore — 100% continuous-filament polyester, polyester/cellulose blends, microfibre, knitted polyester, sealed-edge and laser-cut variants, plus pre-saturated IPA wipers — with ex-stock availability and same-day pickup. Last updated: 17 May 2026.

All wipers are sourced from manufacturers whose products are validated per IEST-RP-CC004.3 and ISO 14644-1 cleanroom classification, with particle count, ionic extractable and non-volatile residue (NVR) data available on request.

Cleanroom Wiper Range

  • 100% polyester continuous-filament wipers — 9×9” and 12×12” sealed-edge wipers for ISO Class 5/6, lowest particle and fibre release.
  • Knitted polyester wipers — soft texture for optical and display cleaning, validated for ISO Class 5.
  • Polyester/cellulose blend wipers — higher absorbency and lower cost, suitable for ISO Class 7/8 and general lab use.
  • Microfibre cleanroom wipers — split-fibre construction for high pickup of sub-micron particles.
  • Pre-saturated IPA wipers — 70% IPA / 30% DI-water sealed sachets for surface disinfection and residue-free wipe-down.
  • Foam-tipped swabs and cleanroom swabs — for precision cleaning of connectors, optics and tight assemblies.

Frequently Asked Questions — Cleanroom Wipers

What’s the difference between sealed-edge and laser-cut cleanroom wipers?

Sealed-edge (ultrasonically welded) wipers have the lowest particle and fibre release and are preferred for ISO Class 5 cleanrooms. Laser-cut wipers offer a clean cut without melting and are commonly used in ISO Class 6/7 applications. Cut-edge (knife-cut) wipers shed more fibres and are generally limited to ISO Class 7/8.

How do I choose between 100% polyester and polyester/cellulose wipers?

100% polyester wipers are inert, low-extractable and low-shedding — the right choice for semiconductor and ISO Class 5 work. Polyester/cellulose blends are more absorbent and cost-effective, suited to ISO Class 7/8 and general lab cleaning where slightly higher fibre release is acceptable.

Are pre-saturated IPA wipers compatible with semiconductor cleanrooms?

Yes — our pre-saturated IPA wipers use 70% IPA / 30% DI-water in sealed sachets validated for semiconductor and medical-device cleanroom use. They eliminate manual saturation, ensure consistent solvent volume, and reduce ionic contamination risk versus pour-and-wipe methods.

How are cleanroom wipers tested for particle release?

Testing follows IEST-RP-CC004.3 — wipers are evaluated for particle count by Helmke-drum and biaxial-shake methods, non-volatile residue (NVR) by extraction, ionic extractables (Na, K, Cl, F) by ion chromatography, and fibre release. Test reports are available on request for qualification and audit.
