An ESD box is only as good as its surface resistance. Phil Industries supplies conductive and dissipative anti-static storage boxes, bins, totes and PCB trays in Singapore — Euro-size stackable, held ex-stock in Ubi.

📦 Box, bin or tray?
| Format | Holds | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| ESD box with lid | Mixed components | Transport, overnight storage | Lid keeps dust out |
| Stackable ESD bin | Bulk small parts | Line-side picking | Deep; stacks vertically |
| Conductive tote | WIP assemblies | Moving between stations | Euro footprint |
| PCB / IC tray | Boards, ICs | Single-layer handling | No stacking damage |
| Magazine rack | Boards on edge | Buffer between stations | Saves bench space |
📊 Conductive or dissipative?
Surface resistance and where each belongs
| Conductive | Fast bleed-off — bulk transport, shielding |
|---|---|
| Dissipative | Controlled bleed-off — direct device contact |
| Insulative (avoid) | Charge accumulates — keep out of the EPA |
Bars indicate relative resistance, not exact values. Confirm the required range against IEC 61340-5-1 for your process.

🏷️ Anti-static storage boxes, totes and containers
ESD box, anti-static storage box, conductive tote and static-dissipative container all describe the same family. What separates them is surface resistance and format, not the name.

❓ Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between ESD bins and ESD trays?
Bins are deep and hold bulk parts. Trays are single-layer and stop boards or ICs stacking against each other.
Are conductive and dissipative boxes interchangeable?
No. Conductive bleeds charge fast and suits bulk transport. Dissipative bleeds it in a controlled way and is what you want in direct contact with a sensitive device.
Can I use ordinary plastic bins in an EPA?
No. Untreated plastic is insulative and will hold charge next to your components.
Do you hold local stock?
Yes, in Ubi, with same-day quotation and delivery across Singapore.
Which ESD box with lid should I use for shipping boards between sites?
Use a conductive (black) tote box with a hinged or drop-on lid, because the lid keeps the Faraday-cage effect around the boards during transport. For example, our stackable ESD tote boxes accept dividers and foam inserts, so PCBs do not slide during the trip across Singapore or overseas.
What are the best ESD bins for PCB storage on the line?
Open-front conductive bins for small parts, and lidded dissipative boxes with slotted PCB racks for boards, because the rack keeps each board upright and separated. In addition, all of them stack, so a shelf of anti static storage boxes takes less bench space than loose trays.
