Phil Industries supplies cleanroom hand tools in Singapore, machined from 316 stainless steel. The range covers wrenches, hex keys and drivers for GMP, pharmaceutical and semiconductor cleanrooms. Every tool is non-magnetic and fully autoclavable, and we ship each order with full material documentation.

7mm 316 stainless steel combination wrench, cleanroom hand tools Singapore

Why 316 and not 304

Grade 316 contains molybdenum. That one addition gives it far better resistance to chlorides and to the chemistry your aseptic zone sees daily — VHP, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid and liquid disinfectants.

Grade 304 has no molybdenum. It handles general, lower-exposure areas well enough. It does not belong inside the aseptic process zone. For that reason we supply this entire range in 316.

Product range

  • Combination wrenches — open jaw one end, ring the other. Single metric sizes.
  • Open-end wrenches — metric sizes.
  • Ball-end ‘L’ hex keys — ball ends reach fasteners at an angle.
  • Straight hex drivers — available on request.

  • Certificate of Conformance — LOT-referenced for traceability
  • Passivation certificate — to ASTM A967

Handling and care

316 is a corrosion-optimised grade, not a high-strength one. Keep these tools to low-torque work. Never strike or pry with them.

  • Clean after each use. Remove residues and fingerprints before storage.
  • Dry thoroughly.
  • Store away from carbon-steel tools. Ferrous contact stains the surface.
  • Keep them in a clean, dry, covered location.

Common questions

What is the difference between 304 and 316 cleanroom tools?
316 contains molybdenum, so it resists chlorides and sterilisation chemicals far better. Use 304 in general, lower-exposure areas only. Inside the aseptic process zone, specify 316.

Are 316 stainless steel tools autoclavable?
Yes. They take thousands of steam cycles, typically at 132°C, and tolerate VHP, hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid.

Can I use these tools for high-torque work?
No. Grade 316 is corrosion-optimised, not high-strength. Keep it to assembly, adjustment and maintenance.

Do you supply GMP-compliant cleanroom tools in Singapore?
Yes. We supply to order and include a material certificate and Certificate of Conformance with every delivery.

What sizes are available?
Wrenches, hex keys and drivers come in common metric sizes, all made to order. Send your size list for a quotation.
