ESD safe materials in Singapore are static-dissipative engineering plastics, foams, bins and trolleys — formulated with carbon, conductive polymer or surfactant additives — that prevent charge build-up when used as containers, fixtures and tote-handling surfaces for ESD-sensitive electronics.

Phil Industries supplies 77+ ESD safe material SKUs in Singapore — bins, totes, dividers, trolleys, sheets and foams in dissipative or conductive grades. Last updated: 17 May 2026.

All materials comply with IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S541 (packaging) with surface resistance 10⁶–10¹¹ Ω. Conductive variants test below 10⁶ Ω for high-charge applications.

Product Range

  • ESD Bins, Totes & Dividers — conductive polypropylene, stackable
  • ESD Trolleys & Shelving — powder-coated steel with conductive casters
  • ESD Foam (Conductive & Dissipative) — polyethylene and polyurethane, custom die-cut
  • ESD Sheet & Rod (Plastic Stock) — acrylic, PVC, HDPE in static-dissipative grades
  • ESD Labels, Tapes & Tags — static-aware identification supplies

Frequently Asked Questions

What are ESD safe materials?

ESD safe materials are engineering plastics, foams and metal-frame products built with conductive or dissipative properties so that static charge cannot accumulate on them. They are used wherever ESD-sensitive components are stored, transported or handled inside an EPA.

What is the difference between dissipative and conductive ESD materials?

Dissipative ESD materials measure 10⁶–10¹¹ Ω — charge bleeds away slowly enough to avoid spark damage to ICs. Conductive ESD materials measure below 10⁶ Ω — charge flows quickly, used for shielding and high-charge environments. ANSI/ESD S541 specifies both for packaging.

Are pink and black foams the same?

No. Pink anti-static foam is static-dissipative (10⁶–10¹¹ Ω) and protects pinned ICs from charge. Black conductive foam measures below 10⁴ Ω and is used as a Faraday-cage insert for shielding DIP packages and PCB assemblies during transport.

Do ESD bins lose their properties over time?

Carbon-loaded ESD bins retain properties permanently because carbon does not migrate. Surfactant-treated bins lose properties in 6–12 months as the additive washes off. Phil Industries supplies only carbon-loaded permanent ESD bins in Singapore.

Can I order custom-cut ESD foam inserts?

Yes — Phil Industries die-cuts ESD foam inserts to your DXF or DWG drawing in Singapore, with 1–2 week lead time. Minimum order quantity 25 pieces. Pink dissipative and black conductive grades both available.
