This ESD workstation table is a mild steel bench with overhead shelving. ESDpro builds it for electronics assembly, rework and inspection. Because the frame is steel rather than a modular extrusion, it costs less and still carries real weight. Meanwhile, the worktop drains static charge away instead of holding it. As a result, operators can handle boards at the bench safely.

Firstly, the sizes above are what we hold as standard. However, anything outside that list is built to order. So if the bay is an awkward width, simply send us the dimension and we will quote to it.

How to ground an ESD workstation table

A bench only protects boards once you bond it to earth. In practice, you run a ground cord from the worktop to a common point ground. That point then ties back to the building’s equipment ground. Meanwhile, wrist straps and floor mats plug into the same point. As a result, the operator, the surface and the board all sit at one potential.

Afterwards, test the path with a resistance meter. Then re-test on the schedule your ESD programme sets. Both IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 cover how often. Where this ESD workstation table is used

Electronics assembly, PCB rework, incoming inspection and repair benches all suit this table. In Singapore, we see it most often in contract assembly and maintenance workshops. Typically, budget matters there and the bench still has to be ESD-safe. Similarly, it works well in training rooms and QA stations. Can I order a size that is not on the list?
Yes. Simply send us the worktop length and depth you need. Furthermore, we quote custom sizes at the same lead time as standard ones.

How much weight will it hold?
Between 100 kg and 300 kg, spread evenly across the top. However, the exact figure depends on the frame and worktop you pick. Therefore, tell us what you plan to put on it and we will confirm.

Is this the bench that used to be called Detall?
Yes. Previously the range carried the Detall name. Since then we have renamed it ESDpro, our own brand. The bench itself has not changed.
