ESD chairs are required PPE at any ANSI/ESD S20.20 workstation handling ESDS components.How do ESD chairs ground the operator?ESD chairs ground operators via conductive casters or a dragline that contacts an ESD floor mat or tile. Resistance from the seat pan through to ground must stay between 10⁶ and 10¹¹ Ω for the chair to be classified static-dissipative under ANSI/ESD STM12.1.Do ESD chairs need a wrist strap?No — ESD chairs do not need a wrist strap.
