Where the Mini MDT-Series In-Line Electric Screwdrivers fit in Singapore
The Mini MDT in-line models are built for bench micro-assembly where every fastening must be measured. A transducer inside the tool reads torque in real time to ±5% clockwise and ±7% counter-clockwise with compensation, and the MDTC-22 controller stores the result for each joint. Because the tool is ESD safe, Singapore camera module, connector, medical device and semiconductor component lines can use it inside an EPA and still keep a measured-torque record per serial number.
Pair it with
- Mountz Mini MDC controller (MDTC-22)
- Mini MDT-Series robotic electric screwdriver
- Mini MD-Series non-transducerized version
- Mountz EZ-TorQ III torque analyzer
- torque control basics
- ESD and cleanroom screwdriver guide
Frequently asked questions about Mini MDT-Series in-line electric screwdrivers
What is the difference between Mini MD and Mini MDT?
Mini MDT drivers carry a built-in torque transducer, so they record the measured torque of each fastening to ±5% clockwise accuracy. Mini MD drivers are smart micro screwdrivers rated ±10% that count screws and report pass or fail without a transducer.
What torque range do the Mini MDT in-line models cover?
The Mini MDT in-line family covers 4–44 cN·m, suited to M1 to M2.5 fasteners. Choose the model whose band places your target torque near the middle.
Which controller runs the Mini MDT-Series?
The Mountz MDTC-22 mini controller, with a colour LCD touch screen for programming, preset selection and fastening data.
Is the Mini MDT-Series ESD safe?
Yes. Mountz builds the Mini MDT-Series as an ESD-safe tool, so it can be used on grounded workstations inside an EPA under IEC 61340-5-1.
Can Phil Industries demonstrate the Mini MDT in-line screwdriver in Singapore?
Yes. Phil Industries is an authorised Mountz distributor in Singapore. Our engineers can demonstrate the Mini MDT in-line screwdriver on your line, help you select the model and controller, and quote the complete system. Set-Up:
- Requires MDTC-22 Mini Controller.
- Drive Adapter: This adapter changes the bit drive socket configuration from a ¼” drive to a 4mm HIOS drive or vice versa.
- I/O Cable for connecting the Mini Controller to the 44P I/O Wiring Box device.
Error-Proofing & Process Improvement:
- Bit Socket Tray: An error-proofing solution minimizes the risk of errors by automatically selecting the correct torque according to the socket or bit selected. It connects to the MDC-22 mini controller. It will improve productivity and reduce operator errors. Saves downtime by automatically changing program settings for multiple fastening strategies.
- Position Control Torque Arms: Equipped with position encoders, the position control torque arm is an error-proofing system that detects and eliminates costly screw-fastening errors during the assembly process. The poka-yoke system reduces the risks of improperly fastening screws, ensuring that every screw is correctly tightened in the correct sequence.
- Screw Presenter: Deliver up to two screws per second to a fixed point where a human or robotic operator picks them up, cutting production time in half.
- Mag-O-Nets: Magnetize a bit by sliding the Mag-O-Net onto the bit—commonly used with a screw presenter.
- Vacuum Adapter: The kit is mounted on an electric screwdriver with a suction head that holds the screw on the bit, enabling the operator to pick it up with the tool. This effective, time-saving device works with most fasteners—commonly used with a screw presenter.
Ergonomics
- Tool Balancers: Provides easy handling for operators that work with power tools for long, continuous hours. A balancer enables a tool to be positioned over the workstation and helps workers avoid fatigue which can lead to low productivity, mistakes, and injuries.
- Ergonomic Torque Arms: Providing ergonomic solutions for your assembly line workers lessens fatigue, prevents injuries, and boosts productivity. Torque arm absorbs the torque reaction generated by a power tool. Mountz offers various arm configurations for flexible and mobile workstation designs. The ergonomic torque arms improve employee safety.
- Tool Stand: Prevent damage to power tools from dropping. Convenient tool positioning – adjust both vertically and horizontally.
Service & Calibration:
- Torque Analyzers & Sensors: If torque tools slip out of calibration, that could impact the quality of your products. Having an accurate way to test calibration onsite regularly is a great way to reduce risk. With Mountz torque analyzers and sensors, you can test tools before they go into service daily or weekly.
- Run-Down Adapters: It is used when testing power tools with a torque analyzer or sensor. The run-down adapter (RDA) is designed to provide consistent and reliable torque readings for power-driven torque control tools. An RDA reduces the impact and irregular peaks that cause poor repeatability. The device is mounted in-line between the tool drive and the transducer.
