Where the EC-Series Right Angle Electric Screwdrivers fit in Singapore
The right angle EC models span 0.1–49 N·m and suit recessed joints and higher-torque frame assembly. Singapore EMS plants and electronics assemblers choose the EC-Series when they need repeatable ±10% torque, program storage and screw counting at a lower system cost than a transducerized tool. Mountz also rates the EC-Series for ISO 14644-1 Class 5 cleanrooms, so the same tool works in controlled assembly bays. However, when the audit requires measured torque per joint, step up to the ECT-Series transducerized version.
Pair it with
- Mountz ECD controller (required)
- EC-Series in-line electric screwdriver
- EC-Series pistol grip electric screwdriver
- ECT-Series transducerized version

Frequently asked questions about right angle electric screwdrivers
How is the EC-Series different from a clutch electric screwdriver?
The ECD controller sets torque, speed and soft start electronically and stores them as presets, adds a screw counter and error-proofing sequence, and reports results through I/O. A clutch screwdriver only slips at a set point and records nothing.
Which controller runs EC right angle screwdrivers?
The Mountz ECD controller. Choose the 120 V or 230 V model to match your supply; Singapore sites use the 230 V version.
What torque range do the right angle EC models cover?
The right angle EC family covers 0.1–49 N·m across its models. Pick the model whose band places your target torque near the middle.
When should I choose the ECT-Series instead?
Choose ECT when your quality system needs the actual torque of each fastening recorded. ECT drivers add a built-in transducer with ±5% clockwise accuracy, while the EC-Series is rated ±10% and records counts and pass or fail rather than measured torque.

Set-Up
- Requires ECD Controller.
- Drive Adapter: This adapter changes the bit drive socket configuration from a ¼” drive to a 4mm HIOS drive or vice versa.
- I/O Cable for connecting the ECD Controller to the 44P I/O Wiring Box device.
Error-Proofing & Process Improvement
- Bit Socket Tray: An error-proofing solution minimizes the risk of errors by automatically selecting the correct torque according to the socket or bit selected. It connects to the MDC controller. It will improve productivity and reduce operator errors. Saves downtime by automatically changing program settings for multiple fastening strategies.
- Position Control Torque Arms: Equipped with position encoders, the position control torque arm is an error-proofing system that detects and eliminates costly screw-fastening errors during the assembly process. The poka-yoke system reduces the risks of improperly fastening screws, ensuring that every screw is correctly tightened in the correct sequence.
- Screw Presenter: Deliver up to two screws per second to a fixed point where a human or robotic operator picks them up, cutting production time in half.
- Mag-O-Nets: Magnetize a bit by sliding the Mag-O-Net onto the bit—commonly used with a screw presenter.
- Vacuum Adapter: The kit is mounted on an electric screwdriver with a suction head that holds the screw on the bit, enabling the operator to pick it up with the tool. This effective, time-saving device works with most fasteners—commonly used with a screw presenter.
Ergonomics
- Tool Balancers: Provides easy handling for operators that work with power tools for long, continuous hours. A balancer enables a tool to be positioned over the workstation and helps workers avoid fatigue which can lead to low productivity, mistakes, and injuries.
- Ergonomic Torque Arms: Providing ergonomic solutions for your assembly line workers lessens fatigue, prevents injuries, and boosts productivity. Torque arm absorbs the torque reaction generated by a power tool. Mountz offers various arm configurations for flexible and mobile workstation designs. The ergonomic torque arms improve employee safety.
- Tool Stand: Prevent damage to power tools from dropping. Convenient tool positioning – adjust both vertically and horizontally.
Service & Calibration
- Torque Analyzers & Sensors: If torque tools slip out of calibration, that could impact the quality of your products. Having an accurate way to test calibration onsite regularly is a great way to reduce risk. With Mountz torque analyzers and sensors, you can test tools before they go into service daily or weekly.
- Run-Down Adapters: It is used when testing power tools with a torque analyzer or sensor. The run-down adapter (RDA) is designed to provide consistent and reliable torque readings for power-driven torque control tools. An RDA reduces the impact and irregular peaks that cause poor repeatability. The device is mounted in-line between the tool drive and the transducer.
