Where the ECT-Series Pistol Grip Transducerized Electric Screwdrivers fit in Singapore
The pistol grip ECT models span 0.9–57 N·m and suit hand-held work on benches and flow lines where the operator needs a trigger grip and higher torque. Because the ECTD controller records torque and angle for every joint, and Mountz rates the ECT-Series for ISO 14644-1 Class 5 cleanrooms, Singapore semiconductor equipment makers, EMS plants and medical device lines use them where an audit trail per serial number is required. In addition, the built-in screw counter and error-proofing programs stop a unit with a missing or under-torqued fastener before it leaves the station.
Pair it with

Frequently asked questions about pistol grip transducerized electric screwdrivers
What is the difference between the ECT-Series and the EC-Series?
ECT drivers carry a built-in torque transducer, so they measure the actual torque on every fastening to ±5% clockwise and ±7% counter-clockwise with compensation (±10% standard). EC drivers are smart electric screwdrivers rated ±10% without a transducer. Choose ECT when you must record measured torque per joint.
Which controller runs ECT pistol grip screwdrivers?
The Mountz ECTD controller. It stores 15 presets with torque, speed, soft start and angle, records fastening data, and connects to a PLC or line control through 8-in / 8-out I/O, RS232C and Ethernet with Modbus and Open Protocol.
What torque range do the pistol grip ECT models cover?
The pistol grip ECT family covers 0.9–57 N·m across its models, each covering one band. Choose the model whose band places your target torque near the middle of its range.
Can the ECT-Series be used in a cleanroom?
Yes. Mountz rates the ECT-Series as compliant with ISO 14644-1:2015 Class 5, which covers most electronics and semiconductor cleanroom assembly in Singapore.
Can Phil Industries demonstrate the ECT pistol grip screwdriver in Singapore?

Set-Up
- Requires ECTD Controller.
- Drive Adapter: This adapter changes the bit drive socket configuration from a ¼” drive to a 4mm HIOS drive or vice versa.
- I/O Cable for connecting the ECTD Controller to the 44P I/O Wiring Box device.
Error-Proofing & Process Improvement
- Bit Socket Tray: An error-proofing solution minimizes the risk of errors by automatically selecting the correct torque according to the socket or bit selected. It connects to the MDC controller. It will improve productivity and reduce operator errors. Saves downtime by automatically changing program settings for multiple fastening strategies.
- Position Control Torque Arms: Equipped with position encoders, the position control torque arm is an error-proofing system that detects and eliminates costly screw-fastening errors during the assembly process. The poka-yoke system reduces the risks of improperly fastening screws, ensuring that every screw is correctly tightened in the correct sequence.
- Screw Presenter: Deliver up to two screws per second to a fixed point where a human or robotic operator picks them up, cutting production time in half.
- Mag-O-Nets: Magnetize a bit by sliding the Mag-O-Net onto the bit—commonly used with a screw presenter.
- Vacuum Adapter: The kit is mounted on an electric screwdriver with a suction head that holds the screw on the bit, enabling the operator to pick it up with the tool. This effective, time-saving device works with most fasteners—commonly used with a screw presenter.
Ergonomics
- Tool Balancers: Provides easy handling for operators that work with power tools for long, continuous hours. A balancer enables a tool to be positioned over the workstation and helps workers avoid fatigue which can lead to low productivity, mistakes, and injuries.
- Ergonomic Torque Arms: Providing ergonomic solutions for your assembly line workers lessens fatigue, prevents injuries, and boosts productivity. Torque arm absorbs the torque reaction generated by a power tool. Mountz offers various arm configurations for flexible and mobile workstation designs. The ergonomic torque arms improve employee safety.
- Tool Stand: Prevent damage to power tools from dropping. Convenient tool positioning – adjust both vertically and horizontally.
Service & Calibration
- Torque Analyzers & Sensors: If torque tools slip out of calibration, that could impact the quality of your products. Having an accurate way to test calibration onsite regularly is a great way to reduce risk. With Mountz torque analyzers and sensors, you can test tools before they go into service daily or weekly.
- Run-Down Adapters: It is used when testing power tools with a torque analyzer or sensor. The run-down adapter (RDA) is designed to provide consistent and reliable torque readings for power-driven torque control tools. An RDA reduces the impact and irregular peaks that cause poor repeatability. The device is mounted in-line between the tool drive and the transducer.
