5 mm Stripe ESD Fabric, 65/34/1 Polyester-Viscose-Carbon – ESDpro AF0113

Polyester viscose ESD fabric: 65% polyester, 34% viscose, 1% carbon fibre in a 5 mm stripe. A TR cloth for ESD lab coats and cleanroom workwear with the drape of a tailored coat. ESDpro AF0113, supplied by the roll from Ubi, Singapore; datasheet on request.

Description

ESDpro AF0113 is a polyester viscose ESD fabric: a 65/34 polyester-viscose blend with a 1% carbon-fibre stripe every 5 mm. It is the stripe version of our TR lab-coat family, chosen where a coat must hang and feel like tailored clothing while still dissipating static. Phil Industries supplies it by the roll from Ubi, Singapore.

Why a 5 mm stripe on a TR cloth

TR blends drape well because viscose is soft and absorbs moisture, while the polyester keeps the cloth stable through laundering. The carbon stripe every 5 mm gives charge a continuous path along the garment, so a lab coat made from AF0113 belongs to the ESD programme rather than sitting outside it. As a result, laboratories get a coat that looks professional and still passes a garment test.

Because the stripe runs the length of the roll, it survives cutting and sewing on coat panels. In addition, the same blend is available with a grid in pink as AF0115, so a site can run stripe and grid coats on one fabric family.

Applications

Electronics test labs, calibration rooms, QA areas and pharmaceutical laboratories use AF0113 for ESD lab coats and cleanroom workwear where staff wear the garment all day. For the grid version in pink see AF0115; for lighter cleanroom coveralls choose a polyester stripe or grid twill.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no weight or resistivity in the table?

Because we publish only figures we have verified for the exact batch. Ask us for the datasheet and we will send the measured weight, width and surface resistivity with the quotation.

Is a viscose blend acceptable in a cleanroom?

For Class 1000 to 10000 areas and laboratories as a lab coat, yes. For tighter classes, choose a 100% polyester cloth because viscose sheds more fibre.

How should it be laundered?

On an industrial cycle for polyester-viscose blends, without fabric softener. The carbon stripe is woven in, so the ESD property does not wash out.
