100% Polyester Diamond Lattice Anti-Static Fabric, 115–120 gsm, Blue or Black – ESDpro AF0102

100% polyester anti-static fabric woven with a diamond lattice, 115–120 gsm, 150 cm wide, 100D × 100D, surface resistivity 10⁶–10⁹ Ω, breathable and comfortable. In blue or black for ESD uniforms, jackets and workwear. ESDpro model AF0102, supplied by the roll from Ubi, Singapore.

Description

ESDpro AF0102 is a 100% polyester anti-static fabric with the conductive yarn woven in a diamond lattice rather than a stripe or square grid. At 115–120 gsm and 150 cm wide, in blue or black, it is the cloth for ESD uniforms, jackets and workwear where the customer wants a darker, smarter garment than the usual white cleanroom cloth. Phil Industries supplies it by the roll from Ubi, Singapore.

Why a diamond lattice in a dark polyester

Blue and black ESD garments are popular on production floors because they hide marks and look like a uniform rather than a lab coat. AF0102 keeps that appearance while still measuring 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω, because the conductive yarn runs in two diagonal directions and connects every part of the panel. The diamond pattern is also less visible on a dark ground than a white grid, which is why garment buyers pick it.

The 100 denier polyester construction is light, breathable and quick-drying, so jackets made from it are comfortable in Singapore’s assembly halls. In addition, being all polyester it lints far less than cotton blends and launders without shrinkage.

Applications

AF0102 is cut into ESD jackets, uniform shirts and workwear for PCB assembly, box-build, automotive electronics and repair centres, and into static-control garments for logistics areas handling sensitive components. For classified cleanrooms use our white stripe and grid fabrics instead.

Frequently asked questions

Is a dark fabric acceptable in an ESD programme?

Yes. Colour has no effect on static performance; what matters is the conductive yarn, and AF0102 measures 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω. Dark garments are simply not usual inside classified cleanrooms because contamination is harder to see.

How does the diamond lattice compare with a 5 mm grid?

Both give conductive paths in two directions. The diamond runs diagonally, which is less visible on a dark ground and drapes a little softer; electrically they are in the same dissipative range.

Can garments be grounded through this fabric?

Yes. Jackets and smocks made from it can be fitted with a grounding snap and tested under ANSI/ESD STM2.1 or IEC 61340-4-9. Test the finished garment because seams and closures affect the result.
