BLRTSX Brushless Rotary Torque Sensors

The BLRTSX brushless rotary torque sensor is an instrument for measuring dynamic torque with fastening applications. The rotary torque sensor is ideal for torque auditing programs and verification processes when paired with a torque analyzer.

Connect a rotary torque sensor between an electric or pneumatic tool, and the assembly application. The sensor quickly attaches to a power tool’s drive without interfering with its ability to fasten a screw or bolt. The sensor measures torque under joint conditions, returning the most accurate results possible. The sensor is also compatible with measuring hand tools like torque wrenches and screwdrivers.

The brushless design features a non-contact signal transfer and is maintenance-free. BLRTSX sensors must be used with a torque analyzer and easily connect to Mountz LTT and PTT torque analyzers via cable using plug-and-play ARC II technology.

Companies must control torque to ensure product quality, safety, and reliability. Regularly auditing and validating tooling calibration is essential for reducing errors in your assembly process and preventing product defects for all manufacturers.

Measuring Torque for Quality Control:

      • Torque sensor for testing and measuring dynamic torque for power assembly tools with fastening applications. The sensor is also compatible with measuring hand tools like torque wrenches and screwdrivers. Ensure proper torque is applied and reduce manufacturing errors on your assembly line.
      • The sensor is attached to the power tool’s drive without interfering with the tool’s ability to fasten a screw or bolt. Measuring the torque output of a tool with a rotary torque sensor allows you to monitor torque being applied from the tool to the fastener or bolt and analyze the efficiency of the fastening process. It is ideal for torque auditing or torque verification programs.
      • Validate that a tool is still in calibration with a torque verification process.
      • For a torque auditing program, use a rotary torque sensor in the testing process to detect loose fasteners or any signs of joint relaxation.
      • The brushless design features a non-contact signal transfer and is maintenance-free as no mechanical contacting parts wear out. Learn more about brushless sensors here.
      • The brushless sensor solves the typical brush bounce that plagues the accuracy testing of pulse tools and high-speed RPM tools.

Connectability:

      • Features ARC II technology, an instant auto-recognition system of the BLRTSX connected to the PTT or LTT torque testers.
      • Easily connect up to 4 torque sensors using the Mountz multiplexer.

Improve Your Calibration Process:

Multiplexer: Connect 1-4 torque sensors to the PTT or LTT torque analyzer. Switch between sensors manually or automatically.

Sensor Maintenance and Calibration:

Maintain and calibrate your tools on-site by purchasing calibration equipment to use in-house.

The organization that owns the tool must determine a suitable calibration frequency that meets their needs based on the history of equipment performance, application, degree of usage, and
management objectives.

For most organizations, we recommend 6-month or 12-month calibration intervals.

Calibration Wheels: Engineered for calibrating torque analyzers and sensors and ensuring instruments are traceable to National or International Standards, such as N.I.S.T and ISO.

Calibration Hangers and Weights: Calibrated Dead Weight are the official means by which torque analyzers and torque sensors are calibrated and are traced to National or International Standards, such as N.I.S.T, and ISO.
